Is I is? (or) Is I isn’t?
A luddite. That is.
A luddite, by definition, is a person who eschews technology. So, is I one? Or is I isn’t one? Let’s see…..
A luddite longs for her old flip phone.
A luddite doesn’t like i-phones in general.
A luddite prefers in-person discussions as opposed to email “threads.”
A luddite fears AI and knows it will always be over her head.
A luddite misses home-delivered newspapers.
A luddite doesn’t have a social-media page.
A luddite has no clue how to “fix” computer errors. Especially those she made all by herself.
A luddite values libraries and shelves full of books.
A luddite is forever at the mercy of in-the-know techies.
A luddite doesn’t “dis” technology. He/She just isn’t as deeply engaged in it as so many others are.
So, is I is? Or, is I not a luddite?
It certainly begins to look like I is. A luddite, that is. Or is I just a lone voice in this fast-moving, ever changing, technology-consuming age?
