It’s Just Been…

It’s just been one of those weeks when absolutely nothing comes to mind to write about.

Frank Bruni, on the other hand, always has something to say.

last week, Bruni spoke of his dog, Regan, who’s been recovering from a double-knee replacement. On both of her hind legs! Imagine!   Bruni admits that she had no voice in the matter but her trust in him to do right by her got her through the pain and discomfort.

He reports that she’s now fully recovered and in great shape.

Bruni also said the following with regard to our world in general and not specifically to Regan. As I’ve read it over and over, I see no reason for it not to apply to my life, too.

He said, and I quote:

“When we are navigating our workplaces and forging our friendships, few things should be more important to us than to place ourselves among and with people we trust.  There’s no steadiness without that.  No thriving either.”

Bottom line is this: Regan felt safe in Bruni’s care, just as we feel safe when we’re with those we trust. It’s good to think about and apply as needed.
