It’s Easter Sunday

It’s the day when we acknowledge the resurrection of Jesus Christ. It’s a day of celebration, joy and thoughtfulness.

The Mister and I may not in a physical church today but that doesn’t mean we’re not on our knees. We are, indeed, on them and we’re offering our thanks and gratitude for so much. We seem to find ourselves on those poor old knees much more frequently than ever before.. Even though they creak and crunch as we kneel and then creak and crunch as we stand, we still kneel. For many reasons..

There’s much to be thankful for and we acknowledge that in our prayers and thoughts.  We also have a few requests.

When we’re on our knees, we ask our country’s leaders to help us regain and retain our sense of peace and trust in one another.

We also ask that our leaders do everything in their power to stop us from burrowing into a deep, dark hole from which we may never recover.

We ask those same leaders to act with strength and decisiveness when they see injustices being done our fellow Americans.

We know that’s a lot to ask.  And, we’re almost certain there’s more on the way. So we’ll keep on kneeling, even though it hurts. And, we’ll kneel again. And again. It’s really all we know to do right now.
